In 2022, Vandemoortele procurement will start working with the EcoVadis platform, in order to gain in dept insights into our suppliers sustainability efforts.
Our goal for 2025 is to work exclusively with suppliers who have been verified according to sustainability criteria.
We carefully select our suppliers to source raw materials and ingredients. When it comes to having a positive impact on society, it's only logical that we collaborate with them.
As a basis, we require our suppliers to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. In this way, we ensure that we only work with suppliers that commit to the same ethical, social and environmental criteria that we place high on our agenda.
In 2022, 80% of our new direct suppliers signed our Supplier Code of Conduct.
We also require our suppliers to adhere to the NPDE commitment. This stands for: No Deforestation, Peat development and Exploitation. In this way, we all contribute to a more sustainable palm oil supply chain.
