A year ago, we successfully launched our new Vandemoortele Professional platform in Belgium and The Netherlands. This was the start of a new journey to directly engage, inspire, share knowledge and business tips with our Food Service audience. In September, we had a successful launch in France and Italy! Today, we celebrate our award-winning online platform: a big acknowledgement of our hard work!
The Splash Awards celebrates the best Drupal projects around the world. Award shows are being organised in countries all over the world, and we were invited to the ceremony in The Netherlands.
Vandemoortele Professional platform is developed to offer a top-notch user experience. One of the key features of our platform is called ‘personalisation’ which allows us to tailor the content to the visitor profile by adjusting the images and/or text - making it more relevant. As we are continuously finetuning a visitor's profile based on their browsing behaviour, people will see either the content relevant for restaurants, limited service restaurants or hotels.
In that context, our partner IO submitted our application for the Drupal Splash Awards in the category ‘Corporate’. The event takes place every year with an independent jury. It is with great pleasure and pride that we can say Vandemoortele has won not one but 2 awards! The platform was praised for its personalised approach, and was the star of the evening, being awarded the prestigious title of ‘website of the year’.
TIME TO CELEBRATE
This is big acknowledgement of the journey we have embarked upon to deliver a great user experience which is a key element to build engagement and traffic to our professional platform. This result is a credit to the whole team and underlines the great collaboration between our marketing and IT departments!
