As Diversity & Inclusion is one of our commitments within our sustainability goal to Enhance lives, we also want to support local charities with the same objective. That's why Vandemoortele is donating 5000 euro to Constellations asbl - Sterrenbeelden vzw, a Belgian non-profit organisation focused on integrating disabled people into the society.

Constellations asbl - Sterrenbeelden vzw mainly focuses on building facilities that offer daycare and accommodation to people with mental disabilities in and around the Brussels region. This mission is an answer to the long waitlists. As the needs for these centers keep growing, so does the need for funds. Between 2008 and 2026, Constellations will have opened 13 houses with around 350 available spots.

Arnaud Montcru is volunteer at Constellations asbl - Sterrenbeelden vzw and Global Senior Marketing Director Bakery Products at Vandemoortele: “I am very pleased we are supporting this Belgian non-profit organisation, as they aim to give people with mental disability a place to live, a place where to work. Constellations contributes to several inclusive initiatives such as House Artos in Brussels, that offers bakery trainings to young adults with mental disability in preparation to become bakers in a local bakery in Brussels - therefore getting the chance to contribute to the local community.“

Constellations contributes to several initiatives, such as the Bakery programme of House Artos in Brussels, Belgium. Day centre Artos offers 25 adults with disabilities this educational project: revolving around a bread bakery.
