Vandemoortele has long cared about a sustainable future. Our first sustainability strategy 2015-2020 allowed us to take major steps forward: we banned caged eggs, strengthened our safety culture, signed the ‘New Plastics Economy Global Commitment’ …

The WWF Palm Oil Buyers Scorecard 2019 even proclaimed us “the 10th best manufacturer worldwide” when it comes to sourcing sustainable palm oil.

Our good results encourage us to do even better in the future.

Today, we are proud to present our new sustainability strategy, in which we focus on three new goals: Balanced nutrition, Protecting nature and Enhancing lives. With our new strategy, we put sustainability even more at the heart of our company.

Sustainability 3 pillars

We make our ambitions viable by expressing twelve commitments coupled with clear targets and measurable KPI’s. You can discover them all in our new sustainability report. To reveal a first glimpse: we have recently launched our own Clean Label definition.

We are taking the next steps and will disclose in the near future the new science-based climate targets we are currently working on.
