As one of Europe’s leading food manufacturers, we are fully aware of the role we play in the procurement of soy. We believe it is our responsibility to supply our customers with soy products that have no connection whatsoever with deforestation, whether directly or in embedded form. Vandemoortele has been a member of the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) since 2011. We have reported on our progress to the RTRS since 2015. And today marks the official launch of our Soy Sourcing Charter. In it, we pledge that, by the end of 2017, all the soy we buy for our consumer brands will be 100% certified sustainable soy, both direct and embedded. Through this strong commitment, we are making an important contribution to the market transformation to sustainable soy.
