Mini symposium Fats for the Future

On 20th of June the 'Vandemoortele Centre Lipid Science and Technology' organized a mini-symposium 'Fats For the Future'. We celebrated the strong collaboration between Ghent University and Vandemoortele in the domain of lipid science and technology.

Our CEO, Jules Noten, presented the Sustainability approach of Vandemoortele and the new trends towards more healthier fats.

To reflect on the challenges in innovation, speakers around the world came to talk about startups and the possible health effects of lipid-based food micro structures. The latest research results of University of Gent in collaboration with our Science and Technology team of Vandemoortele were presented.

The mini-symposium turned out to be a success with an audience filled with suppliers, scientific experts and representatives of the food industry in Belgium and Europe.

We took the opportunity to thank André De Laporte, our Group Scientific manager, who created the foundation within Vandemoortele in healthy innovation.

Shaping a tasty future with healthier fats.
